Question of Privilege December 10, 1968

Miscellaneous; committees; accuracy of report

Hon. Lucien Lamoureux

Hon. Lucien Lamoureux

Speaker of the House

Ruling Text

"... Members have indicated quite clearly... that there is a prima facie case of privilege and that it is the type of question which might be sent to committee." There may be a difficulty in having the members of one committee looking into the affairs of another, "but that question is not really what we are seized with at the present time." The question has probably been raised at the first opportunity, in view of the fact that the House has finished its consideration of the committee report.
